Crowd Funding – sort of innovative

With soooooo many friends and even people on the street stopping to talk eyewear when they see the prototypes we’ve been looking at ways to take people up on their interest in Corvus.

Thanks to those same people ‘crowd funding’ has come up a few times so we’re going to set up an account with RocketHub.com (as Kickstarter only does projects for Americans, boo).

Send me a note if you want to get invited to this crowd funding experiment. In a true ‘crowd fund’ we’d set a goal to get enough to do our entire run, but we’re just going to see what happens.

Thanks to all the peeps that have contributed so far. I hope you’ll consider the RocketHub.com donation in exchange for a pair of sunglasses.

First Eyewear Prototypes Have Arrived!!!

It’s always awesome when things you had only drawn up in two dimensions arrive as a physical product. We’ve got this out to our ‘team’ (aka friends) for rigorous testing (aka wearing them even when it’s not sunny!) and we’ve shown them to a couple of retailers. All is looking great! They are way better than we had expected for a first round. A couple of tweaks and we’ll have an actual product line (yeah!).
